Family Christmas Vacation

We decided to go on a trip with Christian before the holidays got to crazy. We went to Grapevine, TX. On the first day, C completed an entire sticker book and we enjoyed watching Shrek in the truck. We also rode the Grapevine express rail road. The ride was terrible, but C loved it. My favorite pictures of Day 1 were taken at Bass Pro Shop that was across from our hotel and with Santa on the train.

Grapevine main street is marketed at the Christmas Capital of Texas. Walking through a Santa on stilts and limbo are the main attractions.

Ornament Making was not what we expected either

C's version of Limbo

Santa visited each child on the train and gave them each a bell

C did not like Mrs. Claus

On the train they also asked each child what they wanted for Christmas

We got a few good deals at the Grapevine Mills. C loved all the airplanes or "hair pains" as he calls them.

Bass Pro shop: Santa Land was fun. C loves all carousels, but Santa was so busy they were not handing out anymore tickets for the night.

C loved the big Shark aka " Ba Ba"

Finishing his sticker book before bed

We arrived at the Gaylord Texan on day 2. We were impressed with all there was to do. Inside was a river walk.

Lots of photo opportunities. We waited in line for a while for this one and C had a meltdown.

Our first round of many character meet and greets. C loved them all but Gingy the Gingerbread man.

The wonderful hotel

Our view of Lake Grapevine. Next year we want an atrium view.

Lots more photos to come. Day 3 was the best!
